As the first certified biomimetic dentist in Edinburgh, trained at the renowned Alleman Dental Centre (USA). This science-driven, minimally invasive approach to restorative care seeks to replicate the biomechanical, aesthetic, and functional properties of natural teeth.

How are biomimetic and traditional dentistry different?

Traditional treatments often remove healthy tooth structure along with decay to place fillings or crowns. In heavily damaged teeth, this can irritate the nerve, sometimes leading to root canal treatment or extraction.

What are the advantages of biomimetic dentistry?

Biomimetic dentistry preserves as much natural tooth structure as possible. Restorations are bonded using advanced adhesive techniques, helping the tooth look natural, stay strong, and maintain long-term vitality.

Do all dentists offer biomimetic dentistry?

Not all dentists are trained in biomimetic protocols. While many understand adhesive techniques, biomimetic dentists complete additional training in advanced bonding methods to better protect tooth strength and nerve health.
